Who Are We?

Partners in life, business and creativity are husband-and-wife team Maurice French and Judy Brewer.

Maurice French is Emeritus Professor at the University of Southern Queensland, where he taught history from 1975 to 2009 and was Dean of the School of Arts from 1993 to 2007. He is the author of 14 books, numerous journal articles, and some 20 Australian Dictionary of Biography entries. In 2013 he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for services to tertiary education and the preservation of local history.

Maurice-and-Judy

Judy Brewer is a former journalist who loves to work – and play – with words, but has also always been fascinated by the power of words when combined with images. She formalised that fascination by studying graphic design. She has edited/proofread and/or designed 17 books; and has been team leader of on-line courses in Journalism and Book Production for the University of Southern Queensland.
